Pete Evens promotes Nightcap on Minjungbal
Paleo Pete joins Byron Bush Tribe |
By Gi Linda-
Celebrity chef Pete Evans has joined an off-grid bush "tribe" that is living in an idyllic new development about an hour from the famous tourist mecca, Byron Bay, according to a Daily Telegraph report by Jonathon Moran.
Sounds like a dream come true, but not far beneath the veil of delusion lurks a simmering anger and stories of discontented prior investors whose ongoing nightmares are hard to suppress.
Pete Evans' new business partner, Nightcap on Minjungbal project director, Adrian Brennock, is protected by Supreme Court injunctions prohibiting me from publishing perceptions imputing felony to him.
Adrian Brennock, known as "AB," initiated contempt charges against me in July 2020, in an attempt to extend the injunctions to a total gag on any unfavourable account of his dealings that might impact his ability to induce new investors to part with life savings.
Daily Telegraph, Aug 28, 2020
Pete Evans, the controversial cook who promotes the venture in a 30 minute video, says he is most impressed by the community slogan "do no harm."
That's rather ironic, considering that Pete Evans was informed by more than a few people that over 20 investors have lost their life savings in this same venture since 2015, when marketing promises offering shared ownership of land in exchange for purchase money were not fulfilled and loans were not repaid.
The disenfranchised investors estimate total losses exceed $2.5 million, as well as non-financial damages.
Pete Evans loves the community slogan, "do no harm". He says, "it's in us, it is who we are". Kind of like Christianity without Christ?
I wonder how much Pete Evans really does care about the hurt and harm that has been caused by his new partner to myself and others over the last five years?
The celebrity chef is silent on that one, except to say his lawyers have checked it out and they can see no evil!
Having signed a contract with the inner circle who are selling "tribal title" to "pre-DA dwelling sites" in the prospective off-grid village, Pete Evan is inviting his social media followers to dream of a new lifestyle.
He uses soaring platitudes to schill the land-share scheme: "What this represents is freedom to be your higher self with people who are just being their higher self with their highest purpose."
Jonathon Moran reports that "Nightcap's Adrian Brennock said that being a shareholder made you a 'member of the community and you will get your tribal title that goes with it.'"
Oh, really? That wouldn't be the same Adrian Brennock who got protective injunctions after convincing the Supreme Court that he was not involved as a kingpin, and that it was just incompetence, not fraud that caused loss of more than $2.5 million to investors over the last five years?
Could it be the same Adrian Brennock who from 2017-2019, told NSW Supreme Court he did not know that multiple occupancy was not a permitted use of the property while he was selling dwelling sites for that purpose?
That wouldn't be the same Adrian Brennock who in 2015 established an incorporated association called "Together in Harmony" that was to be the holder of land title beneficially for investors, the association members?

Could it be the same Adrian Brennock who purchased property at 3222 Kyogle Rd, Mt Burrell, using investors' loans and funds that were held in trust by Mulumbimby lawyer Wrothwell Wall?
Perhaps Pete Evans doesn't care that Adrian Brennock bought the land in 2015 using a company in which he was the sole director and sole shareholder with a $1 share, then refused to transfer the property to co-ownership of investors, then declared the company insolvent and started a process of liquidation that ended with phoenixing of the company, and then his announcement of buyback of the company asset, divesting liability to troublesome creditors?
Perhaps I can call it "audacious" that Adrian Brennock seeks a total gag on freedom of discussion of this matter of community concern, while he is again selling dwelling sites on property where land-sharing is prohibited, including property paid for by myself and others who have received nothing but hurt, harm and significant financial loss in exchange?
None dare call it fraud, Pete Evans!
Isn't it ironic that "Together in Harmony" was also Brennock's slogan in 2015?
Rinse and repeat?
The land-share venture, which began in 2015 as a "harmonious" community" called "Bhula Bhula Village Community" is now renamed as a "harmonious" community" called "Nightcap on Mingungbal".
Any cashed-up young families looking for a life-change?
